If your website was built more than four or five years ago, there is a decent chance it is quietly costing you enquiries. Here are the signs worth checking.
1. It looks wrong on a phone. More than half of UK web traffic is mobile. If visitors have to pinch and zoom, most will leave.
2. It loads slowly. Anything over three seconds and you are losing people before they see a word of your copy.
3. You cannot edit it yourself. If updating a phone number means emailing a developer, the site is working against you.
4. It does not reflect what you do now. Businesses change. Sites often do not.
5. Enquiries have dropped. Check your analytics — if traffic is steady but enquiries have fallen, the problem is the site, not the marketing.
If three or more of these sound familiar, it is worth a conversation.
